Dear Hearthstone Fans,
After the tremendous success of the first and second SeatStory Cup, our partner NEEDforSEAT® couldn’t wait to support a third one!
As last time you can expect the highest level of Hearthstone competitive play together with our well-known living room atmosphere!
Yep, that's right.
From April 9 - 12, 32 Hearthstone players will meet in Krefeld to find out who’s the best Hearthstone player. Again the occasion for this tournament is the awesome support from our partner NEEDforSEAT®. Besides the honour of holding the throne of the Hearthstone community, the winner goes home 10,000$ richer.
The overall prize pool even amounts to a massive 20,000$!
Everybody who wants to watch these thrilling matches together with other Hearthstone enthusiasts is welcome to join us at our public viewing event in the Irish pub „Limericks“ below the TaKeTV studio where three days of the tournament will be shown on a public screen. Prepare yourself for a unique eSports weekend at TaKeTV and don't miss out on this amazing experience!
The show will start at 2 PM CET every day.
So make sure you're ready to start watching as soon as we are ready to start with the matches so you don’t miss a thing. And by the way: The Irish pub below the studio always opens half an hour before the show starts!
The grid can be found here shortly.
Instead of round robin, the groups will be played in GSL Double Tournament Format so there will be eight groups of four players. In pairings the players of each group will get matched upon each other. The winner of the Winner's match directly advances into the Round of 16. The loser of the first matches will meet in the Loser's match, where the loser is eliminated from the tournament. The loser of the Winner's match and the winner of the Loser's match will play in the fifth match for second place in the Round of 16.
Round of 16 will be played out in the same format, expect they will be four instead of eight groups. After we find the best eight players of the tournament, they will determine the winner in a thrilling single elimination format. Round of 32 and round of 16 will be played in a best of 5 format. Up until the finals it is best of 7 and the finals will be played best of 9.
2015 World Championship Match Format – “Conquest” + 1 Ban
All matches will be best-of-5/7/9. The first player to win 3/4/5 games within the match is considered the winner of the match and advances.
Each player must submit decklists from five unique classes prior to the event. Each player will also ban 1 deck of the opponent.
In a best of 5 - A player must win one game with three out of his four decks to win the match.
In a best of 7 - A player must win one game with four out of his four decks to win the match.
In a best of 9 - A player must win one game with four out of his four decks, the match point will be decided by a revived deck of choice.
When a player wins a game, the deck used by the winning player cannot be used for the remainder of the match.
The losing player can keep the same deck used or switch to a different one of their choice.
Players will be told what classes their opponent has available, but they won’t know which class is picked until both players have picked.
Qualifier has ended.
